COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WORK SESSION <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session to discuss the Comprehensive Plan on <br />Wednesday, November 17, 1999, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard <br />NW, Ramsey, Minnesota, <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson (arrived late) <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Mark Koegler, Hoisington, Koegler Group, Inc. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the work session to order at 5:15 p.m. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that Mr. Koegler has prepared a draft of the plan from notes <br />he has received from the City Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Koegler stated that his mission is to see if collectively we can arrive at the plan Council is <br />comfortable with. He noted that the changes in red are ones he is suggesting for discussion and <br />the ones shown in blue were suggested from someone else. <br /> <br />Following is the discussion/suggestions/notes: <br /> <br />Page V-6: <br />Page V-9: <br />Page V- 10: <br />Page V-11: <br />Page V-13: <br /> <br />Page V-14: <br /> <br />changes noted <br />unusual to throw in zoning language <br />no comment on changes <br />no comment on changes <br />Councilmember Hendriksen .pointed out the first paragraph relating to cluster <br />housing - He preferred other wording so cluster housing is de-emphasized. Mr. <br />Koegler stated he would do a "word search" on cluster. Councilmember <br />Hendriksen sated that if the words "cluster housing" are taken out, he would be in <br />agreement with that paragraph. <br />Councilmember Hendriksen suggested the following for #3: striking "density <br />credit" and adding (at the end of the sentence) "through PUD process". <br />Councilmember Hendriksen suggested adding at the end of #4: "This is not <br />intended to reduce lot sizes below minimum lot size requirements. <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan Work Session/November 17, 1999 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
