<br />FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at the Ramsey <br />Fire Station Number 1, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard, NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec (alternate) <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Strommen called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 5:35 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Mayor Gamec, to approve the agenda as <br />submitted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Chairperson Strommen, Councilmember Elvig and Mayor Gamec. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Landfill Environmental Attorney <br /> <br />City Attorney Norman reviewed that during a work session on June 6, 2006, the Council <br />discussed difficulties staff has had with discussions with representatives from the Minnesota <br />Pollution Control Agency (PCA). Council met with Daniel Colton of the Leonard, Street and <br />Deinard law firm who specializes in environmental issues and dealing with the PCA. Staff is <br />recommending entering into an agreement with Mr. Colton of Leonard, Street and Deinard for a <br />not-to-exceed amount of $5,000.
