<br />. <br /> <br />PROCEEDIOOS OF CITY WUNCIL <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />RJBLIC HEAROO <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANORA WUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOl'A <br /> <br />A Board of Adjustment public hearing was conducted on Tuesday, June 25, 1985 at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 NcMthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />regarding IcrWN-FM's r8;Iuest for a variance fran maximum height allCMance. <br /> <br />Members Present: Chairperson Jean Schlueter <br />Mayor Gary Heitman <br />Councilmanber Al Sorteberg <br />Councilmanber Arnie Cox <br />Councilmanber Gary Reimann <br /> <br />Also Present: Ci ty Adninistrator LlC!id Schnelle <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Ci ty Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />Director of Technical Services Clayton Berg <br />City Planner Anne Norris <br />Chief Accountant Jeanne Haapala <br />Reporter Angela Flint <br /> <br />. CALL ID ORDER <br />Chairperson Schlueter called the Public hearing to order at 8:08 p.m. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />O1airperson Schlueter noted, for the record, a letter received fran Mr. and <br />Mrs. Otto Sundberg opposing K'IWN's r8;Iuest for a variance fran maximllll height <br />allCMance. <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />Mr. Frank Hughs - Stated that he does not live in Ramsey but CMns property <br />near the proposed location for the 1000' radio tCMer. Mr. Hughes stated that <br />he was of the understanding that a.r:w tCMer had to be situated on a large enough <br />piece of property so that if the tCMer would collapse, it would fall on it's <br />CMn property. <br /> <br />Councilmanber Cox stated that there has been concern expressed about the <br />process in which this variance application is being reviewed. Councilmanber <br />Cox stated that State law r8;Iuires the City to advise those property CMners, <br />within a certain perimeter of the subject property, of the variance <br />application; that has been accomplished. Councilmanber Cox stated that the <br />ci tizens should not feel that a.r:wthing is being put p:lst than; anybody, as well <br />as IcrWN, has a right to present their case to this Council. Councilmanter Cox <br />r8;Iuested that the audience try to avoid repetitious comments and Council will <br />make a decision based on citizen concern. <br /> <br />June 25, 1985 <br />Page 1 of 7 <br />
