<br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a continuation of the Board of <br />Adjustment hearing on the variance request of August E. Grosslein was held <br />on March 12, 1979, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W. <br />Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Gamec Also Present: <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Cox <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann <br /> <br />At 8:10 Mayor Gamec announced we were waiting for Councilman Cox..who was <br />at an energy meeting in St. Paul. He had hoped to be here at about 8:00. <br />The choices we~e to cancel the continuation of the Boa~d of Adjustment <br />until March 26, 1979 or we could wait until around 8:30 o~ so. M~. Dick <br />Johnson, atto~ney fo~ the Roge~ Dickensons stated he had no objections as <br />did Me~le Anderson. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox ar~ived at 8:14 P.M. <br /> <br />Councilman Mickelson called the continuation of the Boa~d of Adjustment to <br />order at 8:14 P.M. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Councilman Mickelson read the findings of fact in regards to the denial of <br />the variance request. <br /> <br />Mr. Bob Coborn, Jr., of Jim Miller Construction, asked about the findings of <br />fact in regards to the variances in that the variance was only for setback <br />requirements and had nothing to do with the septic system or parking. <br /> <br />He was told that if he built according to the ordinance there would be no <br />variance necessary. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to adopt the <br />following findings of fact in regards to the denial of the variance request <br />of August E. Grosslein: <br /> <br />A) PROCEDURAL HISTORY <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />The applicant applied on December 21, 1978 for a "20' variance on <br />south side facing residential" for the property legally described <br />as follows: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />That part of Lot 26 Auditors Subdivision No. 96, Anoka County, <br />Minnesota described as follows: Beginning at the southwest <br />corner of Lot 13 in said Auditors Subdivision then South 29 <br />degrees 22 minutes West on the Westerly line of Lot 26 for a <br />distance of 260 feet; thence South 65 degrees 32 minutes East <br />for a distance of 250 feet, thence North 29 degrees 22 minutes <br />East for a distance of 260 feet, more or less, to the SOutheast <br />
