<br />OOARD OF RE.VIEW <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA CDUNI'Y <br />STATE OF MINNESorA <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Ramsey Board of Review was conducted on Tuesday, April 7, 1987 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Naqthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Al Pearson <br />Councilmember Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br /> <br />Also Present: City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Assessor Lester Wirz <br />Anoka County Deputy Assessor Gordy Starky <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilroember Al Sorteberg <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the Board of Review to order at 7: 07 p.m. and led in <br />the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Jim Tarnowski - 15661 Juni.per Ridge - PIN # 24-32-25-12-0003 - - Stated <br />that he CMIlS the vacant lot next door to the lot his hane is located on and <br />the property valuation for that vacant lot increased by 93% in one year. <br />Mr. Tarnowski inquired if there is a limit to how much lot values can be <br />increased per year. <br /> <br />Mr. Wirz - Replied that all river lot values were increased by the same <br />percentage; the vacant lot was assessed with hanestead credits because it <br />is adjacent to the hane lot. Mr. Wirz stated that the sharp increase in <br />river lot values was the result of trying to bring the assessed valuation <br />more in line with what river lots are selling for. <br /> <br />Council took no action regarding Mr. Tarnowski's property valuation. <br /> <br />Shir1~y Lian - 6221 l53rd Lane - PIN # 23-32-25-23-0021 - Stated that her <br />property valuation increased $2200 fran 1985 to 1986 and $2700 fran 1986 to <br />1987 . <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mr. Wirz - Replied that the valuation formula used was for a middle <br />classification of hane at 1992 Equare feet with 9% depreciaiton. <br /> <br />Shirley Lian - Stated that she has had problems selling her hane because of <br />it's proximity to the landfill. <br /> <br />Gouncilmember Cox suggested that maybe Waste Management's purchase of <br />Board of Review/April 7, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
