CITY SPONSORS
TREE GIVE-AWAY

As a special observance of Arbor Day, the City has
purchased a containerized tree to be presented as
a gift to each household in Ramsey. The residents
will be given a choice of 4 species: Red Pine, Nor-
way Spruce, Sugar Maple or Tamarack. The trees
will be distributed on Saturday, April 29 at the Pet
Clinic, the Arbor Day Ceremony and the "Mom, Ap-
ple Pie and PT A" event. If you are unable to attend
any of these events, you will be able to receive your
tree on May 6 at the Clean-Up Day Event, the Green
Business Expo or the Tree Sale.
Volunteers are needed to help distribute the free
trees at these six events on April 29 and May 6.
Volunteers are asked to offer their services at
whichever event they choose to attend.
Also in conjunction with Arbor Day, the City will
be providing 2,000 seedlings for planting at Ramsey
Municipal Center, Ramsey Elementary School and
Ramsey Central Park. To do this, we need your help.
All volunteers for this effort should arrive at Ramsey
Elementary School at 9:00 a.m. on April 29. The
volunteers will then be divided into 3 work parties
that will participate in the 10:00 a.m. Arbor Day
Ceremony with Mayor Gary Reimann, County Com-
missioner Natalie Haas Steffen and Ramsey School
Principal Paul Reifenberger. Following the
ceremony, the work parties will plant the seedlings.
spring pet vaccination clinic on Saturday, April 29,
1989 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Vaccinations will
be given by Dr. David Gilgenbach of the Elk River
Veterinary Clinic and will be administered in the
lower level fire barn of the Ramsey Municipal Center,
15153 Nowthen Blvd. NW. The following shots will
be offered:
DHLP and Parvovirus
combined (canine) 11.00
Pan RC-C-P (feline) 5.75
City Ordinance requires that all dogs be vac-
cinated against rabies and licensed. City personnel
will be available to issue dog licenses and identifica-
tion tags at the clinic. If your dog has been vac-
cinated recently but you do not have a current
license, this is your chance to purchase a dog
license without having to come to City Hall during
regular business hours (you must bring in the cur-
rent rabies vaccination certificate). The license fee
is $3.00 for males and spayed females and $5.00
for unspayed females. Dogs must be licensed when
they reach six months of age. The license is valid
for two years to coincide with the rabies vaccination.
The City does not require the licensing of cats.
ALL ANIMALS MUST BE LEASHED WHEN
BROUGHT TO THE CLINIC.
YOU ARE URGED TO PROTECT YOUR PET,
