This program is
designed for builders and developers and how they can
become part of the process of developing these
ordinances so that all benefit.

DATE: February 28, 1991

TIME: 8:00 a.m. - 12 noon

WHERE: Anoka County Extension Service
Bunker Hills Activities Center
550 Bunker Lake Blvd. NW
Anoka, MN 55304

COST: $20.00 per person/registration required

Telephone the Anoka County Extension Service, 755-
1280, for registration forms or look in the February issue
of the Builders Association of Minnesota magazine. Mediation Services
provides mediators and a place for you and the other
parties to meet and discuss solutions all parties can
live with. For more information call your local
mediation service at 755-5300 and ask for Ann
Wallerstedt.

POSTAL CUSTOMER

FIRE FIRE FIRE

With the restructure of the fire suppression and
emergency system in the City of Ramsey, dialing 911 is
the fastest response you can have in an emergency.
Confused? Let me explain. Due to the support of the
community and a lot of time and hard training by
Ramsey's Fire Department, the department is in full
control of all fire-related emergencies. As of January 1,
1991, Anoka and Elk River fire departments will not
respond to Ramsey's fire calls. If you call one of these
departments instead of 911, the call will have to be
rerouted to 911 dispatch, which means time lost when
there is an emergency at your home or business.
The relationship between Ramsey and these other
communities hasn't been severed, but reconstructed to
participate in a program which other communities are a
part of called a "Mutual Aid Pack". Belonging to this
Mutual Aid Pack gives each community support if
needed by means of equipment or manpower. If there is
a situation that we feel is unsafe or out of control, we can
have a city in this pack respond to our needs. This also
works in reverse and we will respond to other
communities' emergencies. The exchange of manpower
and equipment to cities that are a part of this
organization gives everyone a great deal of assurance
that in a disaster situation you have the help that you
need.
The City of Ramsey is currently seeking Fire Fighters
for daytime responses. If you feel that you would like to
be a part of a proud and progressive fire department,
please contact Ramsey City Hall for an application or call
Fire Chief Dave Griffin at 427-1410.

Inside . . .

1 District 11 News.........................................2
One the Go ..................................................2
You r Elected Officials...................................2
Ramsey PT A News......................................2
Moms in Touch ............................................2
Open Teen Basketball .................................2
Wildlife Symposium .....................................3
Ice Skating Update......................................3
Cross of Hope Lutheran Church ..................3
Lord of Life Lutheran Church .......................3
Environ mental Expo ....................................3
What's Happening at City Hall.....................4
N D' .
ew Irectlons............................................4
Recycli ng Update ........................................4
Attention Ramsey Residents .......................4

CAR-RT -SRT
BULK RATE
U.S. POSTAGE
PAID
PERMIT NO. 131
ANOKA, MN 55303
