NOTICE OF HEARING
AIRPORT ZONING ORDINANCE

Notice is hereby given that a hearing will be held before the Gateway North Industrial Airport Zoning Board
for the purpose of adopting an Airport Zoning Ordinance in the area of the Gateway North Industrial Airport.
The public hearing will be held on the 25th day of August, 1987, commencing at 7:30 p.m. in the Council
Chambers at the Ramsey Municipal Center. The proposed ordinance and the accompanying map are available
for public inspection at Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota during
regular business hours.
The property affected by the proposed Airport Zoning Ordinance is some, but not all, of the land in Ramsey
lying within 10,200 feet of the airport's runways including the following sections of land:

Airspace Obstruction Zoning: Land Use Safety Zoning:
Section IV of Ord.; Page 2 Section V of Ord.; Page 1
of Zoning Map of Zoning Map
Sections: 14, 15, 16, 17 Sections: 21, 22, 23, 26, 27,
20,21,22,23,24, 28,29,33,34,35
25, 26, 27, 28, 29,
33, 34, 35, 36
The types of restrictions proposed for each area are set forth in detail in the proposed Ordinance and map.
The precise restrictions which would be imposed vary, depending on the location of the property. The restric-
tions generally regulate height of structures, the location or size, and use of buildings and the density of
population. The most restrictive provisions would apply to the areas located in a trapezoidal area off the
end of each runway, which area extends out from the end of the proposed 3300' runway a distance equal
to the length of the runway plus two hundred feet.
Persons who believe that they may be affected by the proposed Ordinance are encouraged to review it
and ascertain the specific impact which it would have on their property.
MEDIATION

CAN WORK FOR YOU

The mediation had a happy ending. Julie found
out that on the same night her wind sock disap-
peared, David's wind chime had been stolen. Each
suspected the other, but neither would approach the
other about it because of the history of unresolved
problems between them. The settlement included
calling each other to clarify future problems, setting
an example of cooperation and harmony for their
children and neighbors and working at making the
settlement function.
This could have been your story with the happy
ending. If you are experiencing a problem you'd like
to try solving, you have a quick, simple way to do
it. MEDIATION SERVICES FOR ANOKA COUNTY
offers a choice in settling matters.
Does mediation work? In 1986, over 90% of
cases mediated by community programs resulted in
settlement. Nine out of ten of these resulted in com-
pliance with the terms of the settlement agreement.
Who can use mediation? Anyone who lives or
works in Anoka County can use MEDIATION
SERVICES.
What does it cost? The service is free to users.
What kinds of cases can be handled? Disputes
between neighbors, businesses and consumers,
families, friends, landlords and tenants, citizens and
agencies.
Are there any cases that can't be handled
through MEDIATION SERVICES? Criminal cases,
cases that include any type of abuse, divorce and
child custody issues cannot be handled by our office.
When do the mediation sessions take place?
Mediators are available mornings, afternoons, even-
ings and Saturdays.
Who are the mediators? Mediators are trained
volunteers with a variety of interests, backgrounds
and occupations.
Where are your offices? We are located at 1323
Coon Rapids Boulevard in Coon Rapids. Our phone
number is 755-5300 and the phone is answered from
