The
plan is near completion and should be adopted within 60 days.
This plan will promulgate new zoning and subdivision
requirements for the three development regions which have been
established within the City. One being the 1990 Urban Area
which is generally the Southeastern corner of the City from
153rd Avenue South and Sunfish Lake Boulevard boundary on
the West. The Transitional Area which will promulgate 2.5
minimum lot sizes runs generally from the 1990 Urban Area up
to the Trott Brook region. The Rural Service areas which is the
land generally North of Trott Brook, will have a minimum of 10
acre lot size. These lot sizes and some of the new regulations are
brought about because of Metropolitan Council demands that the
City restrict urban sprawl and not allow construction in areas that
will not receive sewer service in the near future and in some areas
may' never receive sewer service.
Along with this process the City Council is considering
adoption of the City Code which will combine all present City
Ordinances and new ordinances that are necessary.
Be watching for official notice of a public hearing for the
Ramsey City Council prior to adoption of the new regulations.

A new City Hall Fire Station being constructed at 15153
Nowthen Boulevard is nearing the 60% completion stage. The
project is on schedule and a tentative completion date of January
1st is now being considered. Construction got underway on April
12, 1977 in accordance with the Federal grant of $595,058. The
building will house the City Council meetings and other
community functions as well as the police, admimistration,
building and assessing and future fire station. The building is
being financed entirely by the Federal grant under the Local
Public Works Bill 1976. General contractor for the ,project is
Adolfson Petersen, Inc. and the Architect is Sette!;Jeach and
Lindstrom Inc.
Be watching for completion of the building late this year or
early in 1978.

CC(Q)lMIlMIUJNlIIT
OCHool
CCooJPID>IllNA 1rO}R
JNAlMIID

Marc Hadley has been hi~"

a~l-~--_."~-~^
E.~

Mr.
He rJ
Univet
Maste!
Mal
I
Coon!
summ!
Sumnj
Stci
