X

NEWSLETTER!!

Due to the misinformation going around, the Council would like to give
the following information to the residents of Ramsey concerning sewer
coming into our community. There has been discussion at a joint communit s
meeting concerning the CAB interceptor proposal which would bring such an
interce, rtor to the edge of the City of ADoka. This will be funded 75ft
from the federal government, l5fo from the state and l~ by the Metropolit
Waste Control Commission. All this does is bring a sewer line in staged
development to the edge of the City of Anoka. It provides no internal
system for our community whatsoever. The time table will be when the
Metropolitan Waste Control Commission decides and we will advise the
people when this happens. There will be NOTHING until at least 1980. The
Council strongly urges everyone in our community to take very good care
of your on slte system because even if you want sewer service in your co
munity, there will be no provision for you to have it. The Council is
making no provision to serve our community at this time in anI way. How-
ever they are working to see that the facilities will be ava1~ab~e, at
the most reasonable cost, to the people when the need to install them,
years down the line, arrives. The Council is reviewing on site systems
~bat w11l be able to take care of the needs of the people, possibly with-
out the need of any sewer.

THE LIQUOR ORDINANCE was passed. We greatly appreciate the work done by
this committee, headed by Gary Gorham, to create this ordinance for our
city. The Council has decided to adopt an ordinance that will give pri-
vate on sale licenses to restaurants and hotels and the off sale opera-
tions will be held by the City of Ramsey, but at this time Ramsey has no
immediate plans to open an off sale store.

THE QUARTERLY RABI~C~ina1;iOn clinic for dogs and cats will be held on
Saturday morning,. "'1 \A, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. In addition
other vaccinations or dogs and cats will be available upon request. Dr.
W. K. Brunell, from the Anoka-West Pet Hospital, will be administering
the vaccinations. Fee schedules are as follows:

Rabies (dogs and cats). . . . . . . $3.00
Distemper" " "....... 5.00
Hepatitis (dog) included with distemper
Leptospirosis (dog ........ 2.50

your pet needs shots, you will make an effort to come in at
The next clinic will be held on September 13th at the same

We hope, if
this time.
hours.
