The City of Anoka asked for a delay of our action, which was granted until December 7th. On December 7th Ramsey again went to the Minnesota Municipal Commission and Anoka and Grow Township requested another delay of 9 months. The Minnesota Munici- pal Commission delayed action for six months. The next hearing is June 7th at the Anoka County Court House. Interested citizens are encouraged to attend. * * ** * * In October your Township representatives passed an eight month moratorium on new residential plats which will last until May 16th. The main reason for this was that residential plats were being developed faster than the Planning and Zoning Commission and Town Board could inspect them. We have hired a planner, Mr. Charles Tooker, to make a comprehensive plan of the Township. He is working with the Planning and Zoning Commission at this time on the Zoning Ordinance. * * * * * * Ramsey .now has over 80 miles of roads in the Township and have upgraded the road ordinance requiring two inches of Class V gravel on roads. With the need for a new grader, we purchased a Wabco in October which will cos the Township $10,883 for a 5 year period or $2,177 per year. * * * * * * The Town Board has gone on record as not approving the building of an- other NSP transmission line across the Township. NSP is presently pro- posing an additional 90 foot easement parallel to their existing easement Further information on this matter is being sought. * * * * * * Town Board meetings are the third Monday of each month at 8:00 p.m. The Planning and Zoning meetings are the first Monday of each month at 8:00 p.m. All meetings are open to residents an~ unless otherwise indicated, held at the Town Hall. * * * * * * Residents of Ramsey Township are reminded to fill in line 26 Section D inserting the words "Ramsey Township" when filling out their 1972 federal income tax in order for Ramsey Township to receive their allotted portion of the revenue sharing program. There is a penalty for taxpayers who fail to provide the information without reasonable cause.
