<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, January 23, <br />2007, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Interim City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />Ass't Community Development Dir/HRA Executive Dir. Sylvia Frolik <br />Civil Engineer II Leonard Linton <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Environmental Coordinator Chris Anderson <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:45 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) RTC Marketing <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon reviewed that for the past several months, staff has <br />been meeting owners and representatives of various projects within Ramsey Town Center to <br />discuss a more cohesive marketing approach for Ramsey Town Center. The level of City <br />involvement with Ramsey Town Center was discussed during the City Council strategic planning <br />session. Council indicated while they are supportive of marketing efforts, the City should not <br />necessarily foot the bill. The City should participate in, but not lead this marketing discussion. <br />Staff would like to confirm this direction with Council. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session / January 23, 2007 <br />Page 1 of8 <br />
