City UPDATE <br />Administrator's Report <br />Council Update <br />Thank You for Joining Us at <br />the 2026 Ramsey Business <br />Expo! <br />The City of Ramsey <br />extends a heartfelt <br />THANK YOU <br />to everyone who <br />joined us for this <br />year's Business Expo. <br />We were thrilled to <br />see such a fantastic <br />turnout. We enjoyed <br />a fun, energetic <br />morning connecting <br />residents with the <br />local businesses, <br />organizations, and <br />community partners <br />that make Ramsey a <br />great place to live and <br />work. <br />May 1, 2026 <br />This year's Expo featured dozens of vendor booths, hands- <br />on activities and demonstrations, samples and giveaways, <br />and a delicious "Taste of Ramsey" with local food booths <br />and food trucks. Families enjoyed a variety of kid -friendly <br />attractions, including crafts, games, a bounce house, face <br />painting, balloon art, and more. <br />We extend our sincere appreciation to all participating <br />businesses and organizations for contributing to another <br />successful event. Your support and community spirit are <br />what make the Expo possible year after year. <br />A special congratulations to Jimmy's Doodads on winning <br />the free Ramsey Resident ad! Please use the tally sheet in the March/ <br />April Ramsey Resident to expedite getting through the <br />line. <br />Free drop-off items include standard curbside <br />recyclables, used oil and filters, antifreeze, scrap metal, <br />laptops and desktop computers, and cell phones. <br />Document shredding will also be free, with a limit of <br />up to three boxes equivalent to 12" x 12" x 24" per <br />household. <br />Appliances, exercise equipment (e.g., treadmills, exercise <br />bikes, elliptical machines), batteries, TVs, printers, <br />desktop copiers/scanners, fluorescent bulbs, mattresses, <br />box springs, mattress toppers, and tires require a drop-off <br />fee. <br />NO garbage, furniture (except mattresses and box <br />springs), or household hazardous waste (except used oil, <br />oil filters, and antifreeze) will be accepted at the event. <br />Anoka County has a handy Recycling and Resource <br />webpage at https://anokacountymn.gov/1653 that <br />can guide you to places that accept materials such as <br />Styrofoam, furniture, and textiles. <br />Household hazardous waste can be disposed of at the <br />Anoka County Household Hazardous Waste facility.
