PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Monday, April 21, 1997 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a request for a conditional use permit to establish outdoor recreational activities; case <br />of Holm's Super Bowl, Inc. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Ben Deemer <br />Commissioner Sharon Jensen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Paul Holland <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the public hearing to order at 5:31 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik reported that the City has received application for a conditional use <br />permit from Holm's Super Bowl to establish four volleyball courts and an outdoor bar area on <br />the west side of the Super Bowl structure located at 6740 Highway #10 NW. The applicants <br />propose to eliminate the two existing volleyball courts on the east side of the building and <br />relocate this activity to the west side, increasing the number of courts from two to four. The <br />applicant has stated that the establishment of these courts on the west side of the building will not <br />deplete the amount of existing off-street parking spaces on the site. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik noted a letter was received from Ms. Stella Cegla, 13741 Dolomite Street NW, and <br />she inquired as to what the existing court area will be used for and if they will maintain the grass <br />area on that east side. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded Commissioner Terry to enter the letter from Ms. <br />Stella Cegla into the record of the public hearing minutes. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Terry, Jensen, <br />LaDue, and Thorud. Voting No: None.
