<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, February 24, <br />2009, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Member Absent: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look (arrived at 6:07 p.m.) <br />Councilmember Jeffrey Wise <br /> <br />Councilmember McGlone <br /> <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi A. Nelson <br />Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Community Development Director Amber Miller <br />Associate Planner Timothy Gladhill <br />Management Intern Al Haugen <br />Police Chief James Way <br />Police Captain Tim Dwyer <br /> <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:05 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Request to Adopt-A-Park and Construct Improvements; Case of Andrea Seiberlich <br />and Neighboring Property Owners <br /> <br />Management Intern Haugen stated that this case is to consider construction of a memorial on <br />parkland near Sunwood Drive and Nowthen Boulevard. He stated that it is zoned R-l and an <br />application and detailed plans were submitted to staff. He stated that the memorial would be to <br />honor "All Young Lives Lost in the City of Ramsey". He noted that the applicants have <br />recommended two possible sites for the memorial.
