PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Monday, February 13, <br />1984 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Reporter Carolyn Thompson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 7:38 a.m. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle requested from Council a motion authorizing Evanson-Dodge to <br />explore the bond market for resale of 1981 and 1982 bond issues. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />adopt Resolution #84-11 authorizing Evanson-Dodge to explore the bond market <br />for resale of 1981 and 1982 bond issues. (Please refer to resolution file <br />for Resolution #84-11). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Game¢, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that today the Landfill Board, Anoka County and himself <br />will be having a press interview with USA Newspapers. USA Newspapers is <br />conducting a study and interviewing people in regards to the Landfill. One <br />issue to be discussed is the landfill lawsuit. .~ <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the purpose of this special Council meeting is to <br />inform councilmembers of what will be said at the press interview and that is <br />to hold off making any statements until the Ramsey Council has made a decision <br />regarding the lawsuit settlement, which is still in negotiations. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that the settlement is contingent upon contents of a <br />lengthy contract and the conditional use permit for Waste Management. Nothing <br />will happen until that conditional use permit is completed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schlueter stated that until that process is completed, little <br />or nothing should be said to the press. <br /> <br />Sp C/February 13, 1984 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
