Rd.
64 and 5 requesting a single residence building permit on 40 Acres, not
a subdivision, just one home. Mayor Gamec advised him he would need a
public hearing for a variance and referred him to the Planning and Zoning
Commission for the April meeting. He asked Mr. Olson to meet with Building
Official Berg and go over the ordinance and set up the hearing. This
parcel was before the council before and it was determined there was not
adequate frontage, only 66' and there must be a variance.

Dick Hetland came before the council regarding approval of an aluminum cannery
and recycling center in a 20 x 40 building behind McGregors. He is the
owner of Brooklyn Park Aluminum. Councilman Reimann asked him if he was
aware Grosslein's already have one. Mr. Hetland is aware of this fact
and stated his volume would be larger. Attorney Goodrich stated this was
a permitted use and Mr. Hetland would need an application for the business.
Mayor Gamec asked Mr. Hetland to see Building Official Berg and fill out
application and put on the agenda. Councilman Cox stated he saw no problem
with this, it is more or less a collection point and could secure a temporary
conditional use permit. Attorney Goodrich stated we have a temporary
conditional use permit.

C/March 10, 1981
1
