PROOEEDINC~S OF THE OITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAIISEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Tuesday, <br />August 25, 1981, at the Ramsey Mmnicipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, ~nnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Van Wagner <br />Councilmember Sorteberg <br />Couneilmember Reimann <br />Councilmember Cox <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br />City Attornery Goodrich <br />Reporter Eric Sandin <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec ~arrived at meeting at 8:35 P.M.) <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was called to order at <br />7:31 P.M. by Councilmember Reimann. Councilmember Reimaran led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />A public hearing was called to order by Councilmember Reimann at this <br />'time to discuss the following: <br /> <br />1. James Refrigeration's request for final plat and site plan <br /> approval. <br /> <br />2. James P. Brown's request for an on-sale liquor license. <br /> <br />3. Board of Adjustment regarding Donald Savitski's request for a <br /> variance. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann called the regular Council Meeting back to order <br />8:03 P.M. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Dickenson Bros. - regarding expansion of their present bus overhaOl and <br />repair facility. They requested a variance from having to put in an <br />asphalt parking area, as it would serve no purpose, so that building <br />inspector can issue them a building permit. 'Council raised the question <br />about other issues in regards to this request and asked for input from <br />Building Official Berg. He stated Council would have to approve of the <br />variance and the issue of Site and Design Plan was Council's decision. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann stated that he thought the City would need some type <br />of a Site and Design Plan. Councilman Cox stated he really did see <br />where the City would, inasmuch as it was an extension of the present <br />building. Questions poised to the City Administrator and he stated the <br />normal process would be for an individual toprepare a Site and Design <br />and then the Council wuld review it and then enter into an agreement <br />with Dickenson.
