CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Monday, April 5, 2004, at <br />the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Mimlesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Director of Public Works Dean Kapler <br />Assistant Director of Public Works Brian Olson <br />Assistant Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:49 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Rural Developing Interim Ordinance <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon presented the City Council with a <br />proposed interim ordinance for the rural developing area to establish a development moratorium <br />so the City can ~vork tl-n'ough some of the urban service issues. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman questioned if the moratorium would include the rural preserve area. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon <br />preserve area cannot have a development of less than <br />focusing on 2.5-acre developments. <br /> <br />replied no, explaining that the rural <br />10-acre parcels.
