PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Public Works Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 20, <br />2001, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Tom Gamec <br />Councilmember Susan Anderson <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James Norman <br />Public Works Supervisor Grant Riemer <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />City Engineer Brian Olson <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos <br />Park and Recreation Commissioner Michael Rolfe <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Zimmerman called the regular meeting of the Public Works Committee to order at <br />5:35 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Update on 141st Avenue NW and Ebony Street NW Improvement <br /> <br />City Engineer Olson stated that on July 25, 2000, the addition of 141st Avenue NW and Ebony <br />Street NW were authorized. Design of the street and utility is being completed by Hakanson <br />Anderson Associates and the negotiations for right-of-way is being handled by Evergreen Land <br />Services. The purpose of the case was to update the Committee of the negotiations that have <br />occurred and get some direction on how to proceed. The development agreement with T&G Land <br />(Tom Sauter) has assured the streets and utilities to his site by July 1, 2001. Currently, there are <br />two properties that are affected with right-of-way acquisition. Commercial Asphalt has been <br />willing to work with staff as they seem excited to see the construction of a public road and <br />improvement to the area. Mr. Olson presented an exhibit to the Committee, which illustrated the <br />land swap that staff has proposed to them regarding the right-of-way.
