Administrator's Report Council Update Curbside Recycling Event Did you miss the Spring Recycling Day event? Do you have larger, bulky items that are ready to be recycled? The City of Ramsey has partnered with Certified Recycling to offer a curbside recycling collection event from August 4 through August 15. As long as the item(s) is listed on the promotion for this event, all you have to do is call Certified Recycling at 952-894-1448 to schedule a pick up, pay the fee for the item(s) and get it curbside on the scheduled day for pick up. Questions about whether an item may be accepted should be directed to Certified Recycling. CITY OF RAMSEY City UPDATE July 25, 2025 City Council Highlights - July 22 Consent Agenda This Council meeting began with the City Council unanimously approving all 17 Consent Agenda items. Council Business There were three business items on the agenda for this meeting. The first was to Adopt Resolution #25-128 Approving Change Order No. 3 for Improvement Project #21-09, Centralized Water Treatment Plant. Through Change Order #3, Magney has requested a time extension of 79 calendar days to the Substantial Completion date and 64 calendar days to the Final Completion date. If approved, this would amend the Substantial Completion date to October 15, 2025 and the Final Completion date to December 31, 2025. Council approved the resolution with a vote of five to two. The next case was to Adopt Resolution #25-175 Approving Engineering Amendment No. 3 for Improvement Project #21- 09, Centralized Water Treatment Plant. Per the previous case, Magney Construction, Inc. submitted a request for Change Order #3. With the previous time extension approval, additional time will be required of AE2S' Resident Project Representative (RPR), the project engineer and various other AE2S staff acting on behalf of the City throughout final completion. Engineering Amendment #3 is requesting additional funding in an amount not to exceed $184,300. This is based on a fixed time extension of 79 calendar days to the Substantial Completion date and 64 calendar days to the Final Completion date per Change Order #3. Council approved the resolution with a vote of four to three. The final case was Attorney -Client Privileged Discussion of Litigation: Murray v City of Ramsey (Conciliation Court Appeal) - Closed to the Public. During the closed session the City Council by consensus passed resolution #25-177 which is Ramsey accepting and ratifying the settlement terms negotiated in the matter of Murray v.
