Commissioner Johns questioned whether the number of lots remained the same. Mr. Boos <br />indicated that there may be a lot or two less than the original plan. <br /> <br />Vice-Chair Cook quiered whether the area to the north will be developed, and was' told by Mr. <br />Boos that certainly in the future it would be develoPed, <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos indicated that in casual conversation with the developer, the <br />developer was agreeable with a 15 foot park easement on lots 13-15. He also indicated that the <br />land to the south was a possible future expansion. <br /> <br />Motion by Vice-Chair Cook and seconded by Commissioner Skinner to require that the <br />developer bring the plans back to the Park and Recreation Commission prior to preliminay plat <br />approval, that the developer provide a 15 foot easement for a bituminous trail on Sunwood Drive <br />N.W. along the back of lots 13-15 for direct lake exposure as a Stage I improvement, incorporate <br />into the development agreement that the developer is responsible .for informing potential buyers <br />of easement along lots 13-15, fund or construct the On-Road "B" trail along the plat's contact <br />with Sunwood Drive, provide a 35 foot corridor from the cul-de-sac to SunwOod Drive, and to <br />pave the path to City standards as a Stage I improvment, with the balance of park dedication <br />satisfied in cash, replace/relocate trees per City standards, and the developer provide' curb Cuts on <br />the 2 roads off Sunwood Drive to accomOdate the On-ROad"B, trail. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice-Chair Cook, CommissiOners Asfahl,. Johns, LaMere and <br />Skinner. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Ostrum. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />STATUS OF LAWFUL GAMBLING FUND <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos reviewed the purpose of the Lawful Gambling Fund and <br />informed the Commission that no proposals were received this year for consideration. <br /> <br />He stated that in the past, the Commission has reallocated the $3,000.00 to the base fund to <br />accrue interest when it hasn't been used. <br /> <br />He suggested that the City could use the funds for boUlevard planting on Sunwood Drive. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos said that he called the director of the Ramsey yoUth Athletic Association (RYAA) and <br />encouraged him to consider the program, but has received no response. <br /> <br />Commissioner Asfahl recalled that the <br />purchasing trees or special projects. <br /> <br />Commission has discussed using the money for <br /> <br />Commissioner Johns questioned whether the application should be reviewed at a later date. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/January 11, 1996 <br /> Page 4 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
