Those who were able to attend were treated to a hot dog and brat barbeque prepared by Park Operations Manageff 3on Oyanagi. 3on "The Spatula" Oyanagi is a long-time igrill-master and his tasty treats complimented the plethora of side dishes brought by the staff. The hay rides by Bunker Park Stables were a highlight to the evening. Of course, the hay rides by Bunker Park Stables were a ~ighlight to the evening and the bonfire that followed inner provided a nice venue for staffers to co-mingle with the families of co-workers. The evening came to conclusion without the annual pig squealing contest, but staffers weren't disappointed as they had not fully prepared their squeals. The trophy resides with our planning department until 2003. Many folks had to retire from the party early and get themselves in-front of a television to watch the Minnesota Twins push towards another World Series .... Z guess that too will have to wait until 2003. Bunker Beach Development Update The new facility is really starting to take shape. The buildings are standing and the shingles and siding will be put up shortly. The pools have had concrete work done a_nd walls for the pools will still be poured this fall. The new filter pit is dug and work will now start on that area. The new fence is 90% complete with the remaining sections dependant on other work being completed first. The facility will now be more secure and some of the temporary fence will come down. Plung pool wall forming. New restroom facility. The logo for the facility has been decided a_nd will start to appear aa we start advertising the new amenities. W.e will also need to start to use the new name when we talk about the facility, so it is time to start talking about "Bunker Beach.'
