parapet wall, sign height shall not exceed the height of the eaves. 7"ne goss surface area of a wall, canopy or marquee sign may be increased by ten percent (10%) if such wall sign: Consists only of individual, outlined alphabetic, numeric and/or. Symbolic characters without back~ound except that provided by the building surface to wi~ch the si gn is to be affixed; and Illumination, if any, is ackieved throu~?_h shielded ·il]umination, shielded silhouette lighting, or shielded spot lighting but not any li~ting where the light source is visible or exposed on the face or sides of the characters. A wall, canopy or marquee sign may be located on the outermost wail of any principal building but shall not project more than sixteen (l 6) inches from the wall to which the sign is to be affixed. A wall sign shall not project higher than the parapet lflne of the wall to which the sign is to be aftixed. Ground Sign. There shall not be more than one (I) ~ound sign for each parcel. The ~oss surface area of a ground sign shall not exceed one hundred (100) square feet for each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface area of two hundred (200) square feet. SerVice Bay Identification Signs. Service bay .identification signs providing direction· or instruction to persons using the facility and contair2ng no adYertising material of any kind shall be subject to the follow/ng: All service bay identification signs shall be wall signs. ii. There shall not be more than one (1) se~Wice bay identification si~_n for each se~wice bay located on the parcel. 111. A service bay identifcation sign may be located on the. outermost wall of any principal 5uilding adjacent to a service bay entrance. 4S- -
