CHANGE ORDER FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g95-18
By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer

Background:

There was a minor change to Project Ig)5-18, the extension of water and sewer to River Plaza/47
Addition. The original plan called for extending a sanitary sewer to the south side of the entrance
to the River's Bend shopping center. This would cause some degree of traffic disruption during
the excavation and continued inconvenience during the period between the excavation and final
bituminous patching. To avoid this, the manhole was moved to the north side of the drive. The
change order is for the cost of the precast manhole base. This cost change will offset by a reduced
length of sewer pipe and from the elimination of restoration of the service drive.

Staff Recommendation:

Approve Change Order for Improvement Project 4/95-18 in the amount of $648.14.

Committee Action:

Motion to recommend Council approval of Change Order #1 for Improvement Project g95-18 in
the amount of $648.14.

Reviewed by:

City Engineer

R&B: 12/12/95
