Further Discussion: Commissioner Thomd inquired whether them were any places in the city that <br />provide storage, and Commissioner Deemer responded that it would have to be commercial <br />property due to the weight of the semi tractor and trailer. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: Commissioners Holland and Terry. <br /> <br />Mr. Godden advised the Planning Commission that he has been checking into a relocation but has <br />found nothing. He stated that he has checked virtually every commercial lot in the area. <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden suggested that the City should work with these people and come up with an <br />alternative they can look into since there will be more residents with this type of problem. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to recommend that City <br />Council deny Mr. Godden's request for a conditional use permit, based on the negative Findings <br />of Fact, and grant a grace period to expire on 1/1/96 in order to make arrangements to store the <br />equipment in a more appropriate district. If the applicant is unable to find a relocation and has <br />made a good faith effort, he can return to City Council with his request. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners LaDue, Deemer, Hendriksen, <br />and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Holland and Terry. <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden recessed the Planning Commission meeting at 8:32 p.m. <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the Planning Commission meeting back to order at 8:41 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #3: Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Grade and Export Soils in <br /> Northfork Lake Addition; Case of North Fork, Inc. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski advised that what is being proposed is not going to substantially change <br />existing drainage patterns, however, there will be some change during the excavation. Therefore <br />Staff recommends it be done as soon as possible to get in and out within a 2-3 week period. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer inquired about dust control, a concern brought up at the public hearing. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski advised that there are certain conditions regarding wind velocity, and that is another <br />reason Staff requests this be accomplished quickly.
