Commissioner Kent inquired as to the status of the other entrance signs.

Mr. Gromberg stated that the owners of the ParaBody Building on Highway # 10 have verbally accepted
the sign idea; however, they have not yet signed the easement for its construction. The entrance sign at
the corner of Industry Avenue and St. Francis Boulevard has been ordered and construction should begin
in the near future.

The EDC also discussed the idea of developing entrance signs to the industrial parks and that the EDC
should begin planning for these signs now to make sure that funding will be available when the parks are
more fully developed. In addition, the EDC may want to start developing some suggested standards for
design of the monument signs in front of the new buildings.

Commissioner Kent suggested that this recommendation should be made to the architectural review
board that was created by covenants for Business Park 95.

The EDC agreed that the land use ratio and Highway #10 issues be shelved until the other goals are
completed which should be in the next few months. At that time, the EDC would be able to dedicate a
greater amount of time to the issues.

Commissioner Kent asked if the land use issue was in the realm of the Planning Commission.

Chairperson Wagner stated that he asked the same question at the joint meeting with the City Council
and they stated that they also wanted the EDC to 10ok at the issue.

Mr. Gromberg interjected that with the development of the AEC Energy Park, AEC may have an interest
in the future look of the Highway # 10 corridor. This may allow for some cost sharing if a redevelopment
plan for the corridor is required. Ifa plan is completed, then it should be more in depth than the one that
was completed in 1988.

Based upon the discussion, the EDC decided to concentrate on the following goals for the first part of
1996:

Ramsey Business Newsletter
Entrance signs and related issues
· Breakfast/lunch meeting program

After these are completed or ongoing, the EDC will commence work on the land use and Highway #10
issues.

STAFF INPUT

Mr. Gromberg updated the EDC on the following issues:

· AEC ground breaking was conducted on November 4, 1995, and anticipate moving in by January 1,
1997.
