country skiing with the varied overlapping trails.

Does the proiect have a high degree of being repeated or increasing in value?

This area will become more valuable to us as our neighborhoods become more populated,
We will look for areas which can give us a sense of "country", an area which allows us to commune
with nature, The boardwalk will help to provide wildlife and habitat preservation areas for our future
generations,

Does the project have more than one potential user group?

The Ramsey Nature Trail and Wetland Area is on public property and available to all
members of the community. We hope the enthusiasm that Ramsey students find in exploring the
area will be transmitted to their parents and other Ramsey residents. The School District has also
identified the area as a significant learning area for all Anoka Area students. We do not see any
limits to accessibility of this Site (other than motorized vehicles and dirt bikes).

Does the project represent a component of a larger City Plan?

The City of Ramsey has been active in its pursuit of providing natural areas and green space
for the Ramsey residents. The City also supports the preservation of wildlife in its natural habitat.
We see that this project provides an essential component to this Plan.

Are trees or other natural resources adversely affected?

This project should increase our students and residents appreciation of our natural world and
its systems. We are adding to the variety and integrity of our trees and natural resources as we work
and plan with Twin City Tree Trusts's landscape architect and with the KKE architects who are
building the new school on the Ramsey Site. We think the construction on the Site will provide us
with the opportunity to enhance and encourage the growth of a wider variety of species.

* Are there tangential benefits associated with the project that clearly benefit residents (e.g.
pollution reduction or increased cultural awareness)?

By requiring the students to maintain the area, we are instilling in them positive community
ethics: pollution control, recycling, stewardship of the land, awareness of their roles in maintaining
natural habitats and species.
