Mr. Schroeder reported that Mr. Huff has inspected the building; howevcr, it will be <br />different once it's raised up. <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin felt that it is still worth pursuing. "We have a treasure in town that has <br />potential". <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman stated that there has been discussions about moving that <br />facility out to the educational facility by the landfill. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder stated that if the building is moved off it's original site, it would lose it's <br />historic status. He stated if the building and site improvements are completed it could be a <br />good amenity. It is not situated so it denigrates any land around it. We will not have a <br />huge marketable asset by moving the building. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmennan stated he can support this if we find a funding source. He did <br />not want to use CDBG funds for this. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson inquired about the choices. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder stated he intends to have the locai match out of the 1996 budget; however, <br />he has not had a chance to absolutely verify this with the Historical Society. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to authorize <br />the Mayor and City Administrator to sign all documents relating to the submittal of the grant <br />application. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson and Beahen. <br />Voting No: Councilmember Zimmerman. Absent: Councilmember Beyer. <br /> <br />Case 88: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />The Finance Committee nominated Councilmember Peterson as their Chairperson and <br />Councilmember Beyer as their Vice-Chairperson. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to ratify the <br />appointments of Councilmember Peterson as Chair and Councilmember Beyer as Vice- <br />Chair of the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beaben and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Beyer. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that the Finance Committee discussed thc purchase of two copy <br />machines. The machine for thc Police Departtncnt was not in the original budget, however, <br />they began experiencing continuous problems with their machine and there was the <br />potential of getting a better deal by purchasing two at the same time. The Committee <br />recommended the purchase of the two machines. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilrnember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution 095-01-025 authorizing purchase of two copy machines and amending the 1995 <br />adopted General Fund Budget. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Zimmerman and <br />Beahen. Voting No: None.
