2) Fire Department Review of Developments <br /> <br />It was noted that the Fire Chief has weekly discussions with the Building Official to stay up <br />to date on projects. By the next meeting, the Chief will have a checklist of criteria for <br />review. No Council action required. <br /> <br />3 ) Recruitment <br /> <br />Development of employment advertising signs for placement around the community was <br />suggested, as well as sending a letter to local businesses requesting assistance in locating <br />interested parties. It was also suggested that an ad should continue to run in the Ramsey <br />Resident. The Board directed that the advertising be researched and that specific bids <br />should be brought back to a subsequent meeting. It was also directed that letters be sent to <br />employers. No Council action necessary. <br /> <br />4) Update on Hazardous Materials Response <br /> <br />The Fire Board received an update on the HAZMAT response. No Council action <br />required. <br /> <br />5) Response Times <br /> <br />It was felt that eight minutes might be an appropriate goal where that response could occur <br />for 80% of the community. Chief Kapler volunteered to get the ISO guidelines for <br />response for the next meeting. No Council action necessary. <br /> <br />6) Water/Ice Rescue Mission Statement <br /> <br />A mission statement based on the April meeting discussion was disseminated which they <br />voted to approve. No Council action required. <br /> <br />7) Other Business <br /> <br />Relining the rescue tank truck was discussed and the money will be taken out of the repair <br />budget - $17,00. No Council action necessary. <br /> <br />Case #14: report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />1) Presentation ol' lhe Management Report on the 1994 Financial Audit <br /> by Ken Malloy, Partner with the Firm of Malloy, Montague, <br /> Karnowski, Radosevich & Co., P.A. <br /> <br />The Finance Corem ittee received the auditors Management Report for the City of Ramsey <br />which contains legislative activities, state-wide trends and comparisons, financial trends <br />and conditions of the City of Ramsey, accounting and reporting comments and formal <br />required communications. The standard report is derived from the actual audit process. <br />No Council action is necessary. <br /> <br />2) Discussion Regarding Refuse Service to Municipal Facilities. <br /> <br />Bids were received from three refuse service companies to provide service to the municipal <br />facilities. The lowest bid came from Gallagher's Service. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to approve <br />the termination of refuse service with Waste Management of Blaine, effective August 31, <br /> <br />City Council/July 25, 1995 <br /> Page 16 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
