Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to approve <br />the northern most alignment presented for the Sunwood Drive alignment. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Zimmerman commented that John Peterson agreed to <br />this on the premise that the City would be expedite the building of this road. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer, Beahen <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #17: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />01: Declare Surplus Property <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that the Finance Committee met earlier this evening and <br />discussed surplus properties. The Committee recommended adoption of the resolution <br />declaring the following property surplus: 1990 Ford Crown Victoria, 1982 Ford L-8000 <br />2-1/2 ton dump track with plow and wing, 1985 Chevrolet utility pick-up, two 1989 Ford <br />Crown Victorias and a 1987 Chevrolet Caprice. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adopt <br />Resolution 095-09-232 declaring surplus property and authorizing the sale of same. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Peterson <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />#2: Authorize Architectural Services <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart explained that there have been changes to the schematics for the police <br />building. All have been reviewed by and agreed upon by the Police Department. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to authorize the <br />City Administrator to solicit construction bids relating to the Police facility, including the <br />architectural, pursuant to the design as amended. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Peterson <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />#3: Property Acquisition <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that the Finance Committee discussed that the City is currently <br />negotiating on various parcels of property necessary for sewer and water extension on <br />Sunwood Drive and to the Ramsey Elementary School. There are no signed agreements; <br />however, the City has received verbal agreements. The Committee recommended acquiring <br />the properties. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to <br />authorize the property acquisitions of the Akron Parcel, Bury & Carlson and Kurak <br />parcels. <br /> <br />Motion carded.
