Further Discul~sion: Commissioner Deemer felt 90 days was excessive. Mr. Ritter stated that the <br />netting is special order and does take some time to obtain. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, Thorud, Deemer, <br />Hendriksen, LaDue, and Terry. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to recommend that <br />City Council :deny the issuance of the amended conditional use permit based on the negative <br />Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />Motion failed. Voting Yes: Commissioners Deemer and Hendriksen. Voting No: Chairperson <br />Bawden, Commissioners Holland, LaDue, Terry, and Thomd. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to recommend that City <br />Council approve the issuance of a conditional use permit to Ty Ritter of KRS Investments to <br />expand the outdoor recreational facility at 14622 Ferret Street N.W., and declaring terms as <br />amended. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, LaDue, Terry, and <br />Thorud. Voting No: Commissioners Deemer and Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Chairperson :Bawden informed Mr. Ritter that he has the opportunity to make changes as <br />discussed, before this goes to City Council, in order to achieve a more favorable findings of fact. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hendriksen concluded that this is a very reasonable use, but he is concerned about <br />the hazard involved. <br /> <br />Case //2: <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Approval to Expand the Concession Building at <br />Gametime Sports Park; Case of KRS Investments <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated KRS Investments is requesting site plan approval to expand the <br />concession building at Gametime Sports Park at 14622 Ferret Street N.W. to include public <br />restrooms and office space. She explained that the site is approximately 4 acres in size, and lot <br />coverage is restricted to 35% of the lot or 64,033 square feet. She advised that the existing <br />concession building is 731 square feet, the existing storage building is 733 square feet, and the <br />proposed 238 square foot expansion will connect the two buildings to form one building, thereby <br />having a total building area of 1,702 square feet. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Holland to recommend that City <br />Council grant site plan approval to KRS Investments to expand the concession building at <br />Gametime Sports Park. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Holland, <br />Hendriksen, LaDue, Terry, and Thomd. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Review to Move in Storage Building; Case of <br />Federal Cartridge Co. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that Federal Cartridge proposes to clear the homestead parcel <br />they own on the west side of Variolite Street of all structures, by demolishing the home and <br />moving the garage across the street onto the shooting range for use as a storage building.
