In 1995, the City is again planning to have a booth at the Game
Fair. The weekends for the Game Fair will be August 11, 12 and 13, and August 18, 19 and 20.
As all of you are aware, the City's booth needs to be occupied at ail times and since the EDC is one
of the sponsoring Commissions, we should provide at least a strong contingent of representatives
in the booth. Unfortunately in 1994, there were some problems with having enough people to
staff the booth, mainly because of events that were scheduled prior to the City's decision to have a
booth at the Game Fair. He stated this year there is suitable foreknowledge of the event and he
asked everyone to consider assisting with the staff'mg. The booth will cost the City $200, which is
less than the normal cost of booths. There will be $425 available from the Economic Development
Commission/Authorities budget. The biggest item at the booth was the Anoka County map that
was supplied by the Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has said that they will reserve three to
four cases of maps for the City's use again at this event. The City will also be looking for
additional materials to pass out at the booth, such as pens, pencils, or something like that. We
should discuss the idea further. He welcomed suggestions.

Commissioner Kent suggested that this issue be on the agenda in two to three months again.

It was the consensus of the Commission that this was the best course of action.

Case #4 1995 Ramsey Business Expo

Economic Development Coordinator Gromberg stated the Commission has discussed changing the
date of the Business Expo from the fall of the year to the spring and that it be held in conjunction
with the Lion's Community Picnic. Combining these two events will allow reduced cost in both
time and money. At this time, the Economic Development Commission should do two things: 1)

Economic Development Commission / December 1, 1994
Page 3 of 5
