Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that the business is totally mobile; they go to kennels, <br />farms, etc. to administer shots, etc. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hardin stated that a bid was received from the Ramsey Animal Hospital <br />and they are renting commercial property and paying taxes on their business here in <br />Ramsey. He suggested that perhaps future preferential treatment could be considered for <br />commercially located businesses. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder suggested that another criteria could be staff levels for the pet clinic. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to set the pet <br />clinic prices pursuant to Staff recommendation and to award the bid for the 1994 annual <br />spring pet clinic to the At Home Veterinary Housecalls at the following prices: Rabies <br />(canine & feline) $3.00, DHLP-P (canine) $10.00 and Pan RC-C-P (feline) $7.00 and to <br />set the licensing fee, for the day of the pet clinic only, to $3.00 for neutered/spayed and <br />$5.00 for un-neutered dogs and cats. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Hardin <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case gT: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that the Personnel Committee met earlier this evening <br />and discussed the Family Medical Leave Act mandated by Federal Law. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />the Family and Medical Leave Act policy as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Oilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Zimmerman, <br />Beyer and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder reported that the 1994 exempt wages and benefits was discussed and then <br />tabled until 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 1994. While this will be a Personnel Committee <br />meeting, all Councilmembers will be forwarded the material and can attend the meeting. <br /> <br />Use of the City Attorney was discussed at the meeting also and consensus of the <br />Committee was that Staff continue to use the attorney at the present level unless directed <br />otherwise. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder also reported on the meeting City Council held on April 4, 1994 where <br />Council discussed the City Administrators review and contract.
