That permit has expired and Barton has applied for <br />a renewal. $~e stated that the grading plans submitted with the application were the same that were <br />reviewed in 1~987, but she believes Barton is in the process of upgrading these plans per the City <br />Engineer's le~er dated January 27, 1993. <br /> <br />Mr. Saue,r, representing Barton Sand and Gravel, Inc., stated they have no problem with the City <br />Engineers reXluests in his letter of January 27, 1993, and at the present time they are making <br />grading plan ~hanges since the airport has been tabled down. <br /> <br />The Planning ;and Zoning Commission reviewed the proposed Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Planning and Zoning Commission was that Findings gl through gl5 and <br />gl8 would remain as presented. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Holland to amend Finding gl6 <br />to indicate thst approximately 15,000 cubic yards of material have been removed since 1987, and <br />delete any ret'erence to an estimation of material to be removed over the three year life of the <br />renewed conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Motion carri~ed. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Holland, <br />Hendriksen, 13aDue, Terry and Thomd. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Motion by commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Terry to delete Finding gl7. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Terry, Hendriksen, <br />Holland, LaDle and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Motion by commissioner Terry and seconded by Commissioner Holland to amend Finding # 19 to <br />read "That theiproposed use will not be unduly dangerous or otherwise detrimental..." <br /> <br />Motion card.ed. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Terry, Holland, Deemer, <br />Hendriksen, l. lfl2)ue and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Thorud to amend Finding #20 <br />to read "That me proposed use will not substantially adversely impair the use, enjoyment .... " <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Thorud, <br />Hendriksen, Holland, LaDue and Terry. Voting No.' None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to amend Finding #21 <br />to read "Thatlthe proposed use will be operated an maintained so as to be harmonious and <br />appropriate in iappearance with the existing or intended character of the general vicinity, and that <br />such use will tm.t change the essential character of the area." <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, Deemer, <br />Hendriksen, LaDue, Terry and Thorud. Voting No: None.
