Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Holland, <br />Hendriksen, ad LaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Terry and Thorud. <br /> <br />The Planning land Zoning Commission proceeded to review the terms of the CUP. <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden inquired if the applicant was in agreement with the conditions, and Ms. <br />Fritch answ~a'0:l aff'mnafively. <br /> <br />Commissionea' Deemer wondered if the Code regulation allowing up to 20% of the total floor area <br />of the privat~r dwelling to the home occupation was excessive considering the large size of the <br />Fritch house, 8nd Commissioner LaDue stated since Ms. Fritch cannot have any employees, space <br />is of no concgm. <br /> <br />Motion by ~ssioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Holland to recommend that City <br />Council adopt the proposed resolution approving the issuance of a CUP for a home occupation at <br />15141 Oneitl~ Street N.W. <br /> <br />Motion carrie, il. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners LaDue, Holland, Deemer, and <br />Hendriksen. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Terry and Thom& <br /> <br />Case 02: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit for a Temporary Structure; <br />cane of Independent School District #11 <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed Staff's observations. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer advised that the school has had space problems for 20 years, and he would <br />like to see a ~n~ permanent solution than portable classrooms. <br /> <br />Zoning Admi0istrator Frolik provided the Commission with information from City Administrator <br />Schroeder re .g~rding household population and estimates for school enrollment projections. She <br />stated that S.mff~ agrees with Commissioner Deemer and recommended removing language from the <br />CUP which ir~plies that extensions for the portable classroom would be considered. <br /> <br />The Planning md Zoning Commission proceeded to review the findings of fact. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Commission that #1 through ~ would remain as presented. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to amend #8 to read <br />"That the propbsed temporary sanctum will not increase traffic to or from thc subject property." <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, LaDue, Deemer, and <br />Hendriksen. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Terry and Thom& <br /> <br />Motion by ~ssioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to amend #9 through <br />#13 in the af~five. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, LaDue, Hendriksen <br />and Holland. ~Voting No: None.
