Mr. Johnson explained North Lake Properties purchased <br /> the stated property with the desire to develop it with the highest and best use, and for this property <br /> their decistorl w' ' as residential. Mr. Johnson stated that there is no market for raw commercial <br /> property and ~ere are vacancies in the existing buildings. He stated that he was not depleting the <br /> last commercial comer in the City. He explained that the area south of this property has been <br /> I developed residential, and he would attempt to purchase the land between his property and this <br /> residential area to develop it aH residential. <br /> <br /> i Commission~ Deemer inquired whether the applicant would have any problem fitting residential <br /> into this aroafif there were no access onto Highway ~7. She explained that the developers have subsequently eliminated their <br /> plans to develpp a portion of the Property with multi-family densities.
