Voting Yes: Councilmembers Zimmerman and Hardin. Voting No: Mayor <br />Gilbertson and Councilmembers Beyer and Peterson. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was to proceed with the northern project but not the southern <br />project. <br /> <br />Case #2: Request for a Conditional Use Permit Amendment; Case of <br /> Danny's Aluminum Processing, Inc. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that on February 23, 1993, the City Council adopted a <br />positive findings of fact relating to Dan Karst's request for a conditional use permit <br />amendment to allow the disassembly of engines and transmissions at Danny's Aluminum <br />Processing facility located at 14050 Basalt Street N.W. The City Attorney has stated that <br />unless the applicant is agreeable, the only term of Mr. Karst's CUP which should be <br />addressed with this requested amendment is Item #10, which prohibits disassembly of <br />engines and transmissions. <br /> <br />Danny Karst stated that all he is looking for is to change Item #10. The rest of the items <br />are similar to that of Alloy Recovery Company but he added that the two businesses are in <br />different zones, different equipment is used and there is a different number of employees. <br />He stated if he has to live by someone else's CUP, he'd like to have a couple of items <br />added. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Resolution g93-03-033 approving the issuance of an amended CUP to Danny's Aluminum <br />Processing, Inc. based on Findings of Fact #0331 and declaring terms of the conditional <br />use permit. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. Abstain: CouncilmemberHardin. <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson recessed the City Council meeting at 8:24 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson reconvened the meeting at 8:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #3: Adopt Ordinance to Amend the Zoning District Boundaries in <br /> the Plat of Rivenwick; Case of Faye Construction <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Ordinance 403-04 to amend the zoning district boundaries in the plat of Rivenwick with the <br />inclusion of the B- 1 Business District. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Bill Chapman, representing Faye Construction, delivered a <br />presentation asking that Council reconsider and zone all of the commercial property B-3 <br />Highway Business. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None.
