Frolik stated that John Peterson of Good Value Homes, Inc. is <br />requesting final plat approval of Chestnut Hill 4th Addition, which consists of 32 single <br />family lots. The fourth phase of Chestnut Hill was to have been the final phase, however, <br />there wet~_' le~s lots platted in the second phase than originally anticipated and the revised <br />preliminary plat of April 13, 1993 resulted in a net gain of two lots. Therefore, the <br />developer ha~ expressed that a fifth phase will be necessary to complete the platting of the <br />remaininl~ 17lots in Chestnut Hill. Ms. Frolik stated that City Staff recommends final plat <br />approval .icl Chestnut Hill 4th Addition contingent upon: a) receipt of and review of the <br />Sheet 1 ot~2 dedication page by City Attorney; b) addition of an existing 40 foot permanent <br />drainage and utility easement between Lots 3 and 4 of Block 3; c) provision of a drainage <br />and utility eas_o..m, ent along the northwest line of Lot 4 of Block 3 to accommodate a <br />drainage and utility easement shown on the grading and drainage plan; d) Calculations <br />showing ~e storage volume required for the anticipated storm runoff and a drainage and <br />utility e ~k~m~t of sufficient area to accommodate the construction of a sexthnentation basin <br />and; e) a revision of Block 3 to eliminate deficient lot areas for Lot 5. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Petcrson to adopt <br />Resolution #93-06-107 granting final plat approval to Chestnut Hill 4th Addition in <br />accordance with Staffs recommendations. <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Peterson felt that Council is approving a lot of <br />additiorm ~adth Contingencies and that it's becoming the normal pattern. He felt this puts a <br />lot of pre~sure on Staff. <br /> <br />Motion ¢~-ied; Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Peterson, Beyer <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: Receive Bids and Award Contract for Improvement Project <br /> 093-10; River's Bend 3rd Addition Improvements <br /> <br />City EnSig~ eer Jankowski stated that on May 11, 1993, Council held a public heating on <br />Improvelxtent Project ~)3-10, which was petitioned for by 100% of the benefitted property <br />owners. On May 25, 1993, the City Council authorized bids to be solicited for the <br />improvements. The project improvements include sanitary sewer, watermain, storm <br />sewer, 0arb and gutter, bituminous pavement, sidewalk, and tuff restoration of the <br />boulevard; Plans and specifications have been prepared and the bids were opened on <br />Friday lune 4, I993. <br /> <br />Motion by. Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolutiori #93-06-108 receiving bids and awarding contract for Improvement Project ~)3- <br />10 (ExtenSion of sanitary sewer and water service, street and storm sewer improvements to <br />River's Bend 3rd Addition) to Annandale Contracting in the amount of $136,023.76. <br /> <br />Motion em'fled. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmerman, <br />Hardin and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #$: Receive Bids and Award Contract for the 1993 Street <br /> Maintenance Program <br /> <br />City En~oeer Sankowski stated that on February 22, 1993, a public hearing was held on <br />the 1993 Street Maintenance Program.
