Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmerman and <br />PeterSOn.!' Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberHardin. <br /> <br />Counciimember Peterson explained the S.A.C. charge discussion that was held. <br />Consensfis of the Council was to recommend that the number of S.A.C. charges (Bill <br />Dubats p$oporty at 6740 Highway #10) be reduced fi.om five to two and that the extra units <br />be held ~ reserve for City-wide distribution and that this information be passed along to the <br /> <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon was present at the Finance Committee meeting and asked <br />that the ~on~y left over in the fund from the 1993 events be allowed to remain in there for <br />the 199~events. Council recommended that Mr. Bacon come back to the Finance <br />Committ~_ with a proposal for future projects to spend that money on with regard to the <br />Arbor and Environmental Expo. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson stated that the report was received on the 6/30/93 Interim <br />Finanei~l!Rep0rt - Actual as compared to budget. The revenue is up and the spending is <br />down.: Council accepted the report. <br /> <br />The Committee discussed the payment for Community Education services. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gilbertson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to authorize payment <br />of $12,6011 which is slightly above the budget cost and also the amount of $1,900 for the <br />extr~ serv~ ces. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Beyer, Peterson and <br />Zimmerm~. Voting No: None. Absent: CouneilmemberHardin. <br /> <br />The Committee reviewed the Fire Department Relief Association Annual Report. There <br />was no Council action necessary. <br /> <br />The Committee briefly discussed the Lower Rum River Water Management Organization <br />joint pow~s agreement and determined it should be tabled until a full Council is present. <br />Council altreed with that recommendation. <br /> <br />The Finmlce Committee was presented with a report regarding negotiations with Anoka <br />Electric ~afive to perform the utility billing function. Council noted the report. <br /> <br />The Finance Committee received an update on the City's computer system. Council noted <br />the ulxlate~ <br /> <br />Case #1:~': Report from the Road and Bridge Committee <br /> <br />The Road ~md Bridge Committee meeting was postponed for another evening. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Doug Fountain, 15255 Garnet Street N.W., Ramsey, inquired what thc proper procedure <br />is to request installation of a dead end or cul-de-sac sign that would indicate a dead end <br />street. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the City would take care of posting the street (151st <br />and Game0. <br /> <br />City Council/July 27, 1993 <br /> Page 9 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
