He felt they do a lot to get the <br />highways ~,built that some of our residents use every day. He expressed support for the <br />NMMA. <br /> <br />Mayor Oilbertson stated he does not feel Ramsey's money should be spent in other cities. <br /> <br />City A~istrator~ . ,, Sehroeder agreed with Councflmember' Zimmerman that "we get what <br />we put inton ~t. If we formed our own association, we may not be as effective. He stated <br />he is justasldng that the options be left open. <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson stated he also agreed with Councilmember Zimmerman about <br />participation. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hardin agreed that we need to meet with the NMMA. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Mayor Oilbertson to direct Staff to <br />inform the North Metro Mayors Association of its intent to consider withdrawal from the <br />organiza~i0n effective 1994. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin and Peterson. <br />Voting NO: Councilmembers Beyer and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Case 022: Introduce Ordinance Amending Chapter 3 and Repealing and <br /> Replacing Section 3.40 Entitled "City Funds" <br /> <br />Finance ~Officer Hart stated that on September 28, 1993, Staff presented Council with <br />several ordinances to amend Chapter 3 of the City Code. The reason behind these <br />amendm6nts Was to establish existing and new funds in the manner prescribed by the <br />Charter md to establish, by ordinance, the policies and procedures effecfing various funds. <br />City Att0mey Goodrich has recommended repealing Chapter 3, Section 3.40 and replacing <br />it with a Mngle ordinance. The proposed single ordinance incorporates all of the funds the <br />City currently utilizes and recommends the establishment of new funds and policies on <br />existing funds. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to introduce <br />the ordinance amending Chapter 3 and repealing and replacing Section 3.40 entitled "City <br />Funds". <br /> <br />Motion ~:arded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Peterson, Beyer <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case 023: Adopt Ordinance Changing the Name of Sunfish Lake Drive <br /> N.W. to Sunwood Drive N.W. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that at their September 28, 1993 meeting, Council <br />introdueelt an ordinance changing the name of Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. to Sunwood <br />Drive N,W. Staff is asking Council to formally adopt that ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to adopt Ordinance <br />g93-16 changing the name of Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. to Sunwood Drive N.W. <br /> <br />City Council/October 12, 1993 <br /> Page 15 of 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
