He felt they do a lot to get the highways ~,built that some of our residents use every day. He expressed support for the NMMA. Mayor Oilbertson stated he does not feel Ramsey's money should be spent in other cities. City A~istrator~ . ,, Sehroeder agreed with Councflmember' Zimmerman that "we get what we put inton ~t. If we formed our own association, we may not be as effective. He stated he is justasldng that the options be left open. Mayor Gilbertson stated he also agreed with Councilmember Zimmerman about participation. Councilmember Hardin agreed that we need to meet with the NMMA. Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Mayor Oilbertson to direct Staff to inform the North Metro Mayors Association of its intent to consider withdrawal from the organiza~i0n effective 1994. Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin and Peterson. Voting NO: Councilmembers Beyer and Zimmerman. Case 022: Introduce Ordinance Amending Chapter 3 and Repealing and Replacing Section 3.40 Entitled "City Funds" Finance ~Officer Hart stated that on September 28, 1993, Staff presented Council with several ordinances to amend Chapter 3 of the City Code. The reason behind these amendm6nts Was to establish existing and new funds in the manner prescribed by the Charter md to establish, by ordinance, the policies and procedures effecfing various funds. City Att0mey Goodrich has recommended repealing Chapter 3, Section 3.40 and replacing it with a Mngle ordinance. The proposed single ordinance incorporates all of the funds the City currently utilizes and recommends the establishment of new funds and policies on existing funds. Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to introduce the ordinance amending Chapter 3 and repealing and replacing Section 3.40 entitled "City Funds". Motion ~:arded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Peterson, Beyer and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Case 023: Adopt Ordinance Changing the Name of Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. to Sunwood Drive N.W. City Administrator Schroeder stated that at their September 28, 1993 meeting, Council introdueelt an ordinance changing the name of Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. to Sunwood Drive N,W. Staff is asking Council to formally adopt that ordinance. Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to adopt Ordinance g93-16 changing the name of Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. to Sunwood Drive N.W. City Council/October 12, 1993 Page 15 of 17
