If any. compost is stored outside, would, there be a problem <br />with the metals. He preferred th~s concern be addressed before ~t would become a <br />problem.[ <br /> <br />Mr. Nailer Stated that the sludge which would contain some metals will have to meet Class <br />A quality!standards set by EPA. The metals are held tightly in the compost by organic <br />matter. ~he chances of metals moving out of the compost is not great. The compost <br />emerges ab6ut 50 - 60 percent solid; some can even be dusty dry. <br /> <br />Mr. Hagenah inquired what will keep the facility from accepting medical waste. <br />Mr. Nailer replied it is all organic. <br /> <br />With regard to disposal of hazardous waste, Mr. Otter stated that Waste Management could <br />propose that serVice to the community if the community wants it. <br /> <br />11) <br /> <br />Add. a term to indicate that the permit holder shall be responsible for all costs <br />incurred in enforcing and administering this CUP. <br /> <br />Motion bE C~uncilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution ~93-12-285 approving the request for a CUP, as amended, from IPS based <br />upon the lnisdings of Fact//0350. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmerman, <br />Hardin and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik stated that the indemnification needs "fine tuning" also. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to direct <br />that the in~mnifieation agreement be reviewed by the City Attorney and the Finance <br />Officer. <br /> <br />Motion can, led.
