Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Hardin, Beyer <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion bY Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to adopt Resolution <br />#93-12-286 approving Change Order No. 1 and Final Payment No. 2 to Bonine <br />Excavating' for. Improvement Project g92-19, 149th Lane N.W. sewer, water and street <br />improvements. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Beyer, Peterson <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: Adopt 1994 Park Dedication Cash Contribution Rates <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that it was recommended that the City increase the park <br />dedication~tates and that Staff survey other communities with regard to their charges. The <br />survey was done and the fee ranged significantly but the median was $649. Staff is <br />recommen~ng $650. He stated that a survey was done relative to commercial and <br />industrial :also and the City or Ramsey's fee was significantly lower. Many of the <br />communities used a different basis to compute the market value. The City of Ramsey has <br />used the aSSessor's value. He stated that the resolution Staff is requesting Council adopt <br />doesn't ch/~nge the percent but is states there will be a minimum fee. The amount is still <br />lower than the communities the City compares itself to. <br /> <br />Councilm0mber Zimmerman stated he has no problem with the commercial/industrial, but it <br />seems moSt'of the building is going on in the urban area and the fee should be higher. He <br />proposed a fee of $680 per dwelling. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer then suggested $700 per dwelling. <br /> <br />Councilme. mber Zimmerman felt that the commercial/industrial properties should remain at <br />five percent 'but be based on the market value. <br /> <br />City Council/December 14, 1993 <br /> Page 12 of 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
