Principal Pl~tnner Tmdgeon stated that was correct. <br /> <br />Chairperso~ Nkxt asked if the improvements could be coordinated with the Town Center <br />improvements tO defray some of the costs. <br />Principal Pl&nner Trudgeon stated they would be coordinated. He noted from this development <br />there is mor~ i~pact to Ramsey Boulevard, and they will be working with the developer and the <br />County to g~t thie work done. He indicated the point here is that the City will not be responsible <br />for the costsiofthe improvements. <br /> <br />Commissiorger Shepherd asked what Lot 5, Block 5 in the northeast comer will be. She asked if <br /> ~ d <br />it would hav~ tre~es and be landscape . <br /> <br />Mr. Domme~ stated it would be open space, and somewhat preserved. <br /> <br />Principal P1 ~anne~ Trudgeon advised the City code calls for an identifiable open space, but does <br />not require tfiat ii be a developed space. <br /> [ <br />Commission~er S~epherd stated she wondered why it was shoved in the comer if it is supposed to <br />be for the whole Hsociation. <br /> <br />Principal Plaimer. Trudgeon stated there are other spaces that are smaller scattered throughout the <br />developmen~ but this parcel meets the requirements for contiguous open space. <br /> <br />Commissioner r JOhnson asked if the developer had any concerns with the Staff's Review Letter. <br /> <br />Mr. Dommeir initicated they are ready, willing and able to do their fair share on the road <br />improvement. He stated the 1000 tree requirement from the ordinance is a concern, but he <br />hopes that tl~ey Will be able to show staff some other options and things that can work. He <br />indicated they in[end to develop the outlots at some time, and wanted to be sure everyone was <br />aware that w~ t~ intention. <br />Chairperson ~ixl; asked if he was saying he objects to the landscape plan, as the Commission's <br />recommendation ¢ill include it. <br /> <br />Mr. Dommer ~sta~d he has no objection on the Staff Review Letter. <br /> <br />Motion by c(~mmissioner Johnson, seconded by Chairperson Nixt to close the public hearing at <br />7:28 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion Carri.~d. :Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Reeves, Shepherd, <br />Van Scoy ansi Watson. Voting No: None.
