The Planning Commission and City Staff <br />agreed and ~e t~xt was amended accordingly. <br /> <br />Staff is reco.mm~.nding that the Planning Commission forward a recommendation to City Council <br />to adopt the iexdand map as proposed and amended, with the exception of the Rivlyn Street area <br />and the Hola~e .k4~I~ amilton property. <br /> <br />Community [DeVelopment Director Frolik noted there was a gentleman in attendance about the <br />Gun Club prDpe~ty, and noted this property has always been zoned R-1. She stated at some time <br />the map w~ co,red quasi-public, which is a designation Ramsey does not even have now, and <br />when they d{) it ~ill not be for this type of use. She also mentioned the performance standards <br />for loading c[ocl~ was erroneously omitted and will be added to the text with no changes. She <br />stated they '~so ;,will be fixing the wording on two employment districts, which stated you can <br />have a retai~ or knulti-car lot indoors. She indicated the wording now sounds like you cannot <br />park any co4par~y vehicle outside overnight, you can and that will be clarified. <br />Chairperson ~ix~ reconvened the public hearing at 9:31 p.m. <br /> <br />Francis Wel~e, 16051 Alpine Street, thanked the Commission for making them conforming <br />again. <br /> <br />Business o er fat, 9549 Highway 10, thanked the Commission for re-zoning them as a <br />conforming ~se. <br /> <br />An unidenfi~ed !resident indicated he understands the Gun Club is grandfathered, but he <br />appreciates tile ~ity wanting to move it to light residential. He stated although the City Council <br />ignored the Phmiing Commission on the first issue, maybe they will listen now. <br />Joe Nathe, o;ne~ of Riverside Farms with his brothers, questioned why they were rezoned from <br />Commercial io R-1. He stated if he built a house on Highway 10, he does not think anyone <br />would want t~ live there. <br /> <br /> ~eve[lopment Director Frolik stated there is a pattern of residential zoning along the <br />Community <br />river. <br /> <br />Del Fredncksi stated he appreciates the low density on the Gun Club, but it concerns him how it <br />is depicted ori th~ map. It is already R-1 and they are re-zoning it R-1. He questions what re- <br />zoning means~! I~ stated the Gun Club has been there a long time and there is probably a lot of <br />lead on the p:opCrty. He indicated it is outside the MUSA and will have to have a well.
