Mr. Dale McCusek, 6001 157' Lane, stated he disagreed with the previous speaker. He stated Mr. Graeber is trying to bring an event to the City where it will not cost the City a cent. He thought if this were allowed it would bring in positive growth and hopefully get Town Center moving again. He thought this was a positive thing for the City. He stated all the pipes are basically the same because they have to follow strict requirements. If the licensing is for one year the City has the capability of taking it away or allowing Mr. Graeber to keep the license. He stated he was in favor of this because he hoped it would bring events to the City that the only other place they can enjoy them is at a fair. Ms. Kathryn Richter, 8150 144 Avenue, stated she did not buy her property with the knowledge of a possible demolition derby going in. She stated they pay huge taxes and they should not need to put up with that. She also noted that Highway 10 is already busy without large trucks pulling into the Diamonds parking lot and felt the road would need to be reconstructed. She thought they needed some concrete ways to measure whether this is working for everyone and not just the business. She did not think they should be expected to put up with this at their homes. Mr. Steve Bulka, 14430 ? ?, Dayton, felt the only information that has been given since the last meeting was regarding the noise. He stated this is basically the same proposal as last time. He thought this should be denied because none of the questions have been answered. Mr. Dan Shelmer, 8100 144' Avenue, stated the difference between a train noise and the motocross is the sustained noise level and the time difference the noise lasts. He did not see this benefiting the community as a whole. Chairperson Nixt noted he has not heard any pros or cons regarding the other events that are being requested and he would like to hear more about those. Mr. Leon Richter, 8150 144 Avenue, stated they have contacted the other areas, which are too far from Diamonds to be notified. He thought if this were out in the Country, it would be fun but being in a City is not the right place. He did not think they should be subjected to this type of activity. W. Steve Will, 8144 144 Avenue, respected Mr. Graeber's business and he understood the City is in the growth mode by promoting activity and business. He thought this came down to the location and if this is in the right area. He did not think it fit into the location and he wondered if it would really encourage growth or would it discourage growth. He stated he did not want this in his community. Ms. Dianne Matt- Kiver, 8044 142 Avenue, stated she did not understand the thought process regarding bringing business to the City. She stated she was against this and did not think this was the type of activity they want to bring into their city. She thought this would be something that would be frustrating to residents.
