<br />Consider Payment of Relocation Benefits for Tenant at Property at 6165
<br />HWY 10 NW

<br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the City Council has already approved the acquisition of this
<br />property and the closing was held on October 26,2007. He stated that the City is now obligated
<br />to pay relocation expenses for the current tenant. He stated that these costs are approximately
<br />$16,000 and he recommends that the City Council approve this.
<br />
<br />Councilmemher Dehen asked why the City couldn't let the tenant continue to live there and not
<br />pay the relocation fees.
<br />
<br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the property is substandard and the water for the property is
<br />supplied by the adjacent house.
<br />
<br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to authorize
<br />payment of relocation benefits for the tenant residing at 6165 Highway 10 NW, Ramsey,
<br />Minnesota in an amount not to exceed $16,000.

<br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Strommen, Olson, Dehen, Elvig,
<br />and Look. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey.

<br />Consider Confirmation of Directions Given in Closed Sessions

<br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that earlier tonight, the City Council held a Special Meeting to
<br />. discuss payments regarding eminent domain actions. He stated that the City Council authorized
<br />payments as follows: $285.85 to Eleasalo V. Ale, Faegre and Benson, LLP; $2,000.00 to Leland
<br />J. Frankman, Attorney; $10,308.00 to Kirk A. Schnitker, Schnitker and Associates; $4,500.00 to
<br />James W. Hess, Hess Law Office, PA; and $12,439.08 to Charles D. Wilson, Gray, Plant,
<br />Mooty, Mooty and Bennet.

<br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmemher Elvig, to authorize
<br />payments regarding the City of Ramsey vs. 5A Partnership I, et aI, District Court File No. CI-06-
<br />1093 in the following amounts: $285.85 to Eleasalo V. Ale, Faegre and Benson, LLP; $2,000.00
<br />to Leland J. Frankman, Attorney; $10,308.00 to Kirk A. Schnitker, Schnitker and Associates;

<br />regarding relocation for City of Ramsey vs. Sparkle Pool Services, Inc., et aI, District Court File
<br />No. CX-06-2092 in the amount of $75,000.
