4.40,0(] ~CIPAL.WATER <br /> <br />Subd. 1. Operation, Records nnd ln.~pection <br /> <br />The City shall provide for the proper operation and maintenance <br />of the municipal water system and shall enforce all rules and <br />regulations pertaining to the same. <br /> <br />The City shall keep a record of the exact location and size of all <br />.parts of the municipal water systems, connections thereto, and <br />other measurements or records which may be necessary. <br /> <br />The City shall superintend all connections for service, and <br />~examine all service pipes to ensure that they are properly laid, <br />'and that all meters are properly installed and operating. The City <br />also shall have charge of inspecting the premises entered by <br />'service pipes, examining the condition of all water fixtures, and <br />shall warn against all abuses of the municipal water systems <br />including potential cross connections. <br /> <br />d. No person other than an employee of the City shall operate the <br /> CUrb-stop (shut-off valve). <br /> <br />Sub& 2. Applications for Service <br /> <br />Any customer desiring to connect a dwelling, building, or other <br />structure to the municipal water system shall apply therefore on a <br />form provided by the City. Said form shall call for such <br />information as the Council may from time to time require. <br /> <br />b. The owner shall connect to the municipal water system at the <br /> time of sewer connection. <br /> <br />The owner of all dwellings, buildings, other structures or <br />properties shall connect within two (2) years of the date that <br />municipal water service is available to the premises. Any <br />property owner who can demonstrate that hookup to municipa] <br />water is not feasible due to distance, topography, or.pending land <br />use change shall not be required to hookup. <br /> <br />Each applicant by such application shall agree to be bound by all <br />provisions of this ordinance, amendments thereto and all rules <br />and regulations established by the City. <br /> <br />Subd 3. Permits for Taps, Special Assessments <br /> <br />No permit shall be issued to tap or connect with any water facility of <br />the City either directly or indirectly from any lot or tract of land <br />unless the City Clerk shall have certified: <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
