other purpose, situated within the City having a public sanitary <br />sewer of the City available in any street, alley, right-of-way or <br />easement is hereby required at the owner's expense to install <br />suitable toilet facilities therein, and to connect such facilities <br />directly with the proper public sanitary sewer in accordance with <br />the provisions of this section within ninety (90) days after notice <br />from the City to do so. Until such connection, the owners of all <br />dwellings, buildings, other structures or properties not provided <br />with public or municipal sanitary sewer facilities shall comply <br />with all ordinances and regulations applying to individual sewage <br />disposal systems and their use. <br /> <br />No person shall deposit the contents taken from any vault, privy, <br />cesspool, septic tank or private drain into any sanitary sewer of <br />the City unless a permit is obtained from the City. <br /> <br />Sub& 4. Dischnrge of Prohibited Substances <br /> <br />No person shall discharge or permit to be discharged, directly or <br />indirectly, into the sanitary sewer system of the City, rain water from <br />roofs, yards, lawns, streets, or alleys; ground water; water or other <br />fluid used for the operation of air cooling and air conditioning <br />equipment in plants or units, any gasoline, naphtha, benzine, <br />kerosene, turpentine or any spirit gas or fluid, or any materials of an <br />explosive or suffocating nature, or that may possibly create <br />combustible or suffocating gases or vapors; waters having a PH lower <br />than 5.5 or higher than 9.5 or having any other corrosive property <br />capable of causing damage to wastewater facilities; nor discharge or <br />permit to be discharged direct]y or indirectly into said sanitary sewer <br />system any gravel, sand, dirt or any other heavy materials or any <br />substances. <br /> <br />Subd. 5. Mnlnter, once <br /> <br />ao <br /> <br />The cost of installing the sanitary sewer service line between the <br />building and main service stub shall be borne wholly by the <br />customer. After the initial connection to the main service stub, <br />the customer shall thereafter be liable for ail maintenance and <br />repairs to the sanitary sewer service line between the street main <br />and the building being served. <br /> <br />b. There shall be no discharge of any substance or matter which <br /> may form a deposit or obstruction in the public sanitary sewer. <br /> Any customer discharging such a substance shall within five (5) <br /> days of written notice provide said drain with an approved means <br /> to prevent any substance or matter from passing into the drain or <br /> sanitary sewer which may cause a deposit or obstruction therein. <br /> In case of neglect or refusal to provide a cesspool or catch basin, or <br /> to clean out or repair or alter such drain, for a period of five (5) <br /> <br />Page 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
