<br />a. Wall, Canopy or Marquee Sign. Total sign area may not exceed <br />fifteen percent (15%) of the front building facade. Businesses in <br />multi-tenant buildings shall be allowed the proportionate share of the <br />total wall sign area. The total wall signage permitted may be <br />distributed on any other building fac;ade. Sign height shall not <br />exceed the top of the parapet wall or, if no parapet wall, sign height <br />shall not exceed the height of the eaves. A wall, canopy or marquee <br />sign may be located on the outermost wall of any principal building <br />but shall not project more than sixteen (16) inches from the wall to <br />which the sign is to be affixed. The gross surface area of a wall, <br />canopy or marquee sign may be increased by ten percent (10%) if <br />such wall sign: <br /> <br />1. Consists only of individual, outlined alphabetic, numeric <br />and/or symbolic characters without background except that <br />provided by the building surface to which the sign is to be <br />affixed; and <br /> <br />2. Illumination, if any, is achieved through shielded illumination, <br />shielded silhouette lighting, or shielded spot lighting but not <br />any lighting where the light source is visible or exposed on the <br />face or sides of the characters. <br /> <br />b. Ground Sign. There shall not be more than one (1) ground sign for <br />each parcel. The gross surface area of a ground sign shall not exceed <br />one hundred (100) square feet for each exposed face nor exceed an <br />aggregate gross surface area of two hundred (200) square feet. <br /> <br />c. Service Bay Identification Signs. Service bay identification signs <br />providing direction or instruction to persons using the facility and <br />containing no advertising material of any kind shall be subject to the <br />following: <br /> <br />1. All service bay identification signs shall be wall signs. <br /> <br />2. There shall not be more than one (1) service bay identification <br />sign for each service bay located on the parcel. <br /> <br />3. A service bay identification sign may be located on the <br />outermost wall of any principal building adjacent to a service <br />bay entrance. <br /> <br />4. A service bay identification sign shall not project higher than <br />the parapet line of the wall to which the sign is to be affixed. <br /> <br />30 <br />
